About Xtellar

Xtellar is a Spanish jewelry brand, born from a dream, like many of my creations. I dreamt of a name: Estelar. At the time, I thought everything had to be in English, so I turned it into Stellar, but with an X that felt more futuristic: Xtellar. Today, naming things in English feels a little dishonest. I am Spanish. Anyway, I still feel deeply connected to my brand’s name.

Xtellar is my way of expressing myself, my creative space. Imagination, for me, is a joyful refuge where everything can change and reinvent itself. I want to share that universe with you through these small sculptures that take the shape of jewelry.

I live in the countryside, in my hometown of just 50 inhabitants. The quietness and the closeness to nature are where I can truly focus and create. I am drawn to contrasts, and I think that tension is also part of how I design and how I live.

Every two weeks, I immerse myself in the cultural rhythm of Barcelona, where I welcome visitors at my showroom, Vivero Xtellar, in the neighborhood of Gràcia. It is a quiet area with a strong presence of artisans and independent creators. I share the space with Ana Vivero, who creates hats and other distinctive wearable pieces. It is a place of exchange and collaboration.

Behind Xtellar, it is just me, Marta Callen, handling every detail: design, production, and everything in between. For now, it is a one person project, but I hope that changes someday. I would love to create opportunities for collaboration in my village and help spark more creative movement there.
